As contemporary practitioners of these ancient and archaic forms, it is our responsibility to honor their fundamental principles, whilst exploring them with the materials, techniques and spirit of our time. This is how traditions thrive. By successively re-inventing themselves for each generation, through the artists who serve them.
As we were inspired, so we seek to inspire. We honor our tradition and those members our lineage who shared with us, by paying their kindness forward. Through passing on our knowledge, we touch a future beyond ourselves. Ensuring in a small way, that the puppet, mask and clown, continue to blaze in the imagination of the human race : )
